Another year is almost over. Time flies, it seems, when you’re having fun. And we’ve certainly had a lot of fun at #InternPro this year. We’ve had some interesting and stimulating conversations, we’ve made plans, and we’ve paved the way to a successful career. As 2017 winds down, it’s time to take a look back at the career moves we made this year and evaluate their impact.
Let’s talk about the progress we’ve made and where we want to go in the new year. After all, you have to remember where you were before you can decide where you want to go.
How successful was your strategy? Have you progressed as far as you expected? How far do you have yet to go? You don’t want to dwell on past mistakes, but you need to know what worked and what didn’t. From there, you can begin to plan your future career moves.
Join us this Monday evening, December 18th, for the final #InternPro Chat of 2017. We’ll look back at a year that was both challenging and rewarding. We’ll also celebrate #InternPro Chat’s 6th anniversary as the second longest running career chat on Twitter!
We’ll Use These Questions to Help Review Our 2017 Career Moves…
Q1: On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being highest), how much did you enjoy your work in 2017? Tell us why?
Q2: What was your biggest career accomplishment in 2017? (Go ahead, brag… we won’t judge!)
Q3: What was the biggest professional risk you took this past year? What risk did you NOT take… but maybe wish you did?
Q4: What was the biggest improvement in your soft skills during 2017? What skill do you hope to improve most in 2018?
Q5: What is the one thing that happened at work you would do over again? What would you do different this time?
Q6: Over the past year, who or where did you turn to for consistently good career advice? What are your go-to resources?
Q7: What was the best piece of career advice you heard this year? What impact did it have on you professionally?

Stop by and let’s take stock of our 2017 career moves together and say goodbye to 2017 while getting ready for another fruitful year.
Who knows? Maybe we can get Mark to sing a verse of “Auld Lang Syne.”
