What Workforce Realities Await 2014 College Grads? [Infographic]

As they transition from college student to workforce contributor, many grads think they know what to expect… only to find many barriers and detours along the way.

To better understand the current realities faced by 2014 grads, we bring you this brief yet excellent infographic from Accenture.com, which examines the disparity between graduate expectations and what is really going on.

Despite some high hopes, if trends from 2012 and 2013 hold, about 4 of every 10 graduates will earn less than $25,000 per year and/or live with their parents. There is some good news, however, as hiring of college graduates is up in 2014 and 67% of grads are finding work in their chosen field.

Grads, don’t be surprised by the realities of the workforce. Learn to expect what is coming at you, and figure out how to be one of the 60+ percent who are winning in today’s economy!
