Company Description

ACE is a multi-faceted organization that promotes academic competition and excellence amongst our nation’s youth. ACE’s flagship product is the National History Bee – a yearly national competition to discover the most talented and knowledgeable young history students in America.

Job Description

Is it your dream to travel to every state in America? Have you ever wanted to drop everything and take an adventure? Do you have “Wanderlust”? If this applies to you, then ACE wants to hear from you. ACE is a Denver-based education startup that improves American education by hosting nationwide academic competitions. We have served thousands of middle and high school history lovers, including quiz bowl champions and Jeopardy! contestants.

ACE seeks a handful of talented Fellows who crave learning as much about themselves as our nation’s education systems. As a fellow, you will travel America over eight weeks, getting to work intimately with our executive staff to develop and execute a nationwide series of 39 regional events that will allow us to reach almost ten thousand students!

Our ideal candidate is someone who walks into a room of people and can’t leave without making a few friends. Someone who is obsessed with providing a good experience with others, and someone who is energized by seeing new things and making lifelong friends with new people

What You Will Learn:

• SO much about your country – During the trip, we will see more than 40 states and 25 of the top 30 metropolitan areas in the United States. It’s not just a road trip, but road trippin’ will feature heavily.

• How to collaborate with young professionals to coordinate a large-scale national competition.

• How to control, moderate, and excited a roomful of middle schoolers (if you can control middle schoolers, you can control Fortune 500 companies.)

• How to create compelling social media content and promote brands on your terms

What We Require:

• Independence – we need people who have the ability to get things done with basic guidance. We expect you to take initiative and get stuff done.

• Enthusiasm – I’m excited to spend my Spring with working with some of the most amazing Children Uncle Sam can offer – are you?

• Willingness – We want people who are willing to learn, adapt, and be helpful. This position requires a lot of different hats, so you better have a nicely shaped noggin’.

Additional Information

We are hiring multiple people for our unpaid 2016 ACE Fellowship. While the fellowship is unpaid, all transportation, lodging, and breakfasts are provided. The position begins in Atlanta, GA, on February 15, 2016, and ends in back in Atlanta on May 8th. The positions will be reporting to our Director of Personnel, Todd Faulkenberry, as well as our on-site Director, Connor Teevens.

We value a diverse workforce and welcome and encourage applicants from a variety of backgrounds. ACE is an equal opportunity employer.
