Great tips! I think #6 is perhaps the most important; it’s a trick that salespeople use to be more effective on the phone. It helps you project energy and engagement. And “no distractions” means giving the interviewer your undivided attention; don’t check your email or text messages in the middle of the conversation. It’s not appropriate (or effective!) in person, and it doesn’t work any better over the phone.

  • Very good tips and they are all stand well during the conversation. One thing that I would like to add here is the internet connection. If you are doing skype et al, please be assured that you would have hick-ups. So be prepared and not get nervous. The connection can keep going on and off 🙂 Be confident and stay smart!
