Internship Details

This is an opportunity to be a part of the entrepreneurial world and understand what it's like to be part of a startup and all that goes into making it a success. We support the startup community and immerse ourselves in the venture capital and startup community.

The owner is a former turnaround manager for a large corporation with an expertise in strategy and planning. He is Chair-Elect of the Issaquah Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Issaquah Economic Vitality Commission. This internship will support his work on lean startup methodology which is the favored approach to running startups today.

This approach will first be applied to Meadow Creek Business Center and the recently opened coworking facility, The White Board. The intent is to then use the businesses as a model to startups at both facilities with a focus on The White Board and then develop a business accelerator program in conjunction with the City, the Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Issaquah Association and the local entrepreneur and investor community.

This internship will be a learning experience and the intern should leave with a detailed understanding of lean startup, the entrepreneurial/startup process and organizing business operations using lean principles. The owner will use his influence to encourage that a successful intern receive recognition from the City, the Chamber and other stakeholders in the community.
