| Internship Description: | There are 60 million people in America without access to financial services. Domestic microfinance can help serve these individuals to improve their lives and grow their own businesses, creating jobs and strengthening our economy. With the right tools, college students like yourself can be a part of the solution. You represent an untapped potential and bring talent, passion and fresh ideas to the table. Spend the summer with Lend for America and learn how to change the lives of your communities' low-income families and gain a broader social perspective all the while building your resume and jumpstarting your career. You'll be a part of a fellowship program that trains students who are seeking to start microfinance organizations at their respective college campuses. The program is an immersive experience that will unlock a student's ability to launch a community organization. Fellows receive a crash course in microfinance, a full-time summer internship with an existing microfinance group, and year-round support from Lend for America as they start their organizations.
