Weise Communications has an open position for an unpaid marketing/advertising intern. The internship would run approximately three months and requires 20-30 hours a week preferably Monday – Thursday. While the position is unpaid, a stipend is available at the completion of the internship based on performance.

The intern will work closely with the marketing team to develop and implement campaigns and projects for clients.

Tasks and responsibilities:
- Researching and gathering information
- Working with team to create and implement campaign strategy
- Developing marketing collateral and copy
- Media, demographic and product research
- Drafting project status and activity reports
- Assistance monitoring and improving social media accounts (both Weise and client)
- Editing and proofreading
- Assisting with public relations projects as needed

Skills and Qualifications:
- Highly motivated and energetic
- Willing to work hard and do a lot of leg work
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Negotiation skills and tact also help in this field
- Current college senior, recent graduate or graduate student with a major in communications, marketing or business
- Strong writing and verbal skills
- Experience using social media
- Ability to think creatively
- Well-organized
- Self-motivated
- Proactive
- Ability to manage several projects at once and meet deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
