The Opportunity

We are looking for a Social Media intern to help manage, curate and write for YouTern’s renowned Savvy Intern blog.  

Get your “real world” on! Through this unique internship opportunity you’ll:

• Work on a new and innovative opportunity
• Write  weekly blog posts relevant to YouTern’s audiences
• Research blogs related to YouTern’s target demographics; develop blog exchange relationships
• Work with YouTern’s Content Manager to find and develop relationships with high-quality guest bloggers
• Assist in brand awareness efforts by researching and commenting on relevant blog posts on other appropriate websites
• Develop and improve leadership, communication, and networking skills
• Further develop and enrich your soft/transferable skills
• Expand your sphere of influence through networking
• Enhance your resume with experience that makes you far more employable
• Be mentored by the YouTern team, including one of GenJuice’s list of “Top 100 Most Desirable Mentors”

Your Qualifications:

If you can say “yes” to these qualifications… we need to hear from you!

• Specialization in marketing, journalism, communications or public relations
• Experience using WordPress and knowledge of blogging in general
• The ability to write in an engaging voice appropriate for different user groups and target audiences
• Copy editing and curating experience a plus
• Confidence, reliability… and the ability to work independently
• An entrepreneurial spirit (what would you do… if you could do anything?)
• A “long-term” mindset – at YouTern, you are not “just an intern”
